Professor Joe Robert Pemagbi
Board of Trustees - Chairman
Professor Joe Robert Pemagbi is a former Dean of the Faculty of Education of Njala University, Chairman of the National Commission for Democracy and Human Rights and Sierra Leone's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations. He is currently a freelance education consultant.
Jenneh M. Gbao
Board Member
Jenneh M. Gbao is a humanitarian and development professional with more than 12 years experience working with different international and local non-governmental organizations at senior level with strategic leadership and management responsibilities in different parts of Sierra Leone, Mano River, and Asian countries.
She has experience in building and leading high-performing and diverse teams, and expertise in program development, resource mobilization, donor relations, negotiation and representation/networking, program implementation, monitoring & evaluation, and strategy development.
She is a citizen of Sierra Leone, with a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Sociology from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, she holds a Master’s degree in Development and a Master of Philosophy degree (M.Phil.) in Gender from the University of Sierra Leone.
Jenneh M. Gbao is currently working with Plan International Sierra Leone as the Head of Programme Quality and Development.
Thomas P. Sowa
Board Member
Mr Sowa joined the Board of Directors of SNSL in 2018. He helps to provide oversight of the activities of the organisation and advisor on its day-to-day operations. Mr. Sowa received his BA (Hons) degree from Fourah Bay College. University of Sierra Leone. He holds double Masters degrees in Communications and Management from Howard University, Washington, DC and Bowie State University in Maryland , USA respectively. He has served as Communications for Development Consultant for various International Organisations. He previously served as the first Director of Administration and Human Resources for Sierra Leone's first public broadcaster, SLBC.
Arthur Chinsman-Williams
Board Member
A Board of Directors of SNSL in 2020. He provides oversight of the organisations activities. He has a Master degree in Water Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Hannover, Germany and a Bachelor Degree Science with Honours in Agricultural Engineering from the Njala University.
His current position is Resource Mobilization Manager at the Conservation Trust Fund focusing on biodiversity and wildlife conservation projects. He loves to do farming and agribusiness in his free time.
Edith Tatoh Agatha Kpendema

An educationist, retired lecturer in French. M. A. French studies, Gender activist and supporter of our foundation.
