Eye Screening

IAn eye screening exercise was conducted in June, 2016 with the UMC Mission eye hospital in Kissy. The rationale behind the project is to ensure that the children live a healthy life which will enable them to acquire quality education.  Out of 92 pupils screened 25 pupils were taken to the hospital for further check-up.  Among the 25 pupils three were diagnose as needing glasses and one for glaucoma and the rest for vaner infections.  At the end of the exercise medicines and advice was provided to the pupils.  Further funding is needed to enable to take the rest of the children to access medication.
